Moving your phone out of your room to improve your sleep

Hello, it’s time for my final brief brain bit. And today, to finish the week, I’m going to keep it really simple. It’s a little tip I was taught a couple of years ago, and it genuinely improved my life. All you do is take your phone charger, move it out of your bedroom, and keep it there. Best thing I ever did! Then, when I’m trying to get to sleep, I don’t reach out and pick up my phone. The lights don’t trick my brain into thinking that it’s daytime. I don’t see a work email and descend into an anxiety spiral. It’s fantastic! I know a lot of you are thinking, “But I use my phone as an alarm.” That’s the point! Because then, when your alarm goes off, you’ve got to get out of bed to turn it off. Then you’re already up. It’s win-win. Anyway, just an option. Take it or leave it, but if you’d like to see the research, please follow the links. Thanks so much for joining me this week, and thanks to ABC for making mental health a priority. Has anyone seen my phone?
