Let’s talk about LARC’s (Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives)

Well, back in those days, dude, I felt it was diverted to go on us with a pill. Absolutely. This wasn’t something you’re comfortable doing. You had to make the appointment with a male doctor. You spent the week nervous, waiting for that appointment. You went in there and made up 10,000 other reasons why you were actually at the doctors before you actually got up the courage to say, “I’m here. I’m here.”

Yeah, I think women should always be educated about what their options are. I hadn’t heard about LARCs or some long-acting reversible contraceptives. Could you explain what that is?

Sure, thank you. Long-acting reversible contraceptives, or LARCs, are used by women of all ages for different reasons. You want to give people the opportunity to live their lives to the best possible life they can.

No, I haven’t used one. I didn’t know it was called a LARC, though. I had that removed and got pregnant the next month, pretty much.

So, when you got your friends and your best mate, do you talk about it? As I’ve gotten older, I thought my period times would settle down, but they haven’t.

Long-acting reversible contraceptives, or LARCs, include IUDs and contraceptive implants. They’re safe, long-lasting, and effective, and you don’t have to remember them every day.

Oh, yeah. I’d definitely be interested in learning more about long-acting contraceptives because, you know, if we can simplify the way we use them, then obviously, that’s a good thing.

Yeah, I was aware that it helped regulate periods.
