Hey, (awkwardly) don’t you think that it is vitally important that before any sexual activity takes place, the two people involved in said sexual activity have a proper talk about the ramifications of said sexual activity, and specifically in regard to safe sex measures?

Oh yeah, sorry, I’m telling this to everyone. Oh, there’s Mr. Davis, my woodwork teacher. Oi Mr. Davis, don’t you think that it’s vitally important… (trails off)

You want to make sure that both of you are actually ready and comfortable in the situation. Those conversations are sometimes hard to bring up and difficult to talk about because it’s very much out of the comfort zones for a lot of people. You want to make sure that you’re both aware of what each other wants and that you’re in it together. Be safe.

I wait until I am introduced to my partner’s family, and we’re getting dinner together. I sit everyone down, and I wait till her father is talking, and I cut him off.
