Online Safety tips from hY NRG

Online safety is really, really important. I don’t communicate with anyone or share anything with anyone that I haven’t met in person before.

Remember that someone who’s reading your post might get affected. Anything you put online is there forever. You should ask yourself, “Why am I posting this? Would I want my own child to read this in the future?” If something doesn’t feel right, it’s probably not.

I have really high security and privacy settings, and I keep web profiles set to private. Every now and then, I do a clean-up of random people I’ve added, blocking if necessary. If you’re feeling bullied or harassed, it’s important to either stop using the apps or seek help.

Really look out for your friends as well. From a mental health perspective, I make sure I have downtime. That means taking time to log off and connect with the people around me.
