Money Hacks: Earn more

Just thinking about the thousand dollars that I spent this month that I won’t be seeing again.

I sold four plants today on Facebook Marketplace and made eighty dollars. That’s eighty dollars I didn’t have before. Putting things on Facebook Marketplace was a bit daunting for me because I was like, “Does anyone want these succulents? Does anyone want this jumper that I’ve had for like five years?” But there are people out there that actually do.

So I came up with a brilliant idea, and it was to do surveys. It’s very bleak right now because it’s just the same questions over and over again, but I’m going to do this for maybe an hour or two. Then I can see how many points I can get and see how much money I can earn from this.

Luckily, with the internet, we have access to things like Fiverr and Airtasker and other platforms where we can use some of the skills we may have developed in our normal jobs to try and get some income online. Basically, I’ve created a little advertisement on my Fiverr.

This survey is so painstakingly boring—I actually can’t do it. I’m only like 10 or 15 minutes in, and apparently, it’s a 30-minute survey, but I’m only 20% done.

Another good way to get some extra cash on the side is to go around and do some favours. I got in contact with a neighbour, and they’ve offered to give me some cash to take their dog for a walk.

So, you know, if you’re sitting around and you’ve got nothing to do, don’t be afraid to talk to some family, friends, or neighbours and see if anybody’s got something they might want you to do.
