How can you get Hep C?

Hepatitis C is a blood-to-blood virus that anyone can catch. You can get Hep C by sharing spoons, needles, syringes, swabs, and straps—some things just don’t go together.

You can get Hep C by sharing personal items with someone who’s infected, like toothbrushes, tweezers, or razors. Anywhere there’s blood, there can be Hep C. Some things are forever.

You can get Hep C from sharing or reusing needles and gear for tattooing and piercing. Anywhere there is blood, there can be Hep C.
